My client is one of the world’s largest and oldest law firms with a history stretching back to the 19th century. They are now a leading global law firm with offices in key business centres across the Americas, Asia and Europe. The firm employs approximately 2000 lawyers. Their London office has a headcount of 800 and offices in EC2.

They are looking for a Business Analyst to join them, whose role will be 50% financial/management accounting & analysis for the London office and 50% pricing & matter profitability analysis for the firm globally.
Responsibilities
To assist the London accounting team in regular financial and management reporting including month-end management accounts and annual statutory reporting.
To provide support to partners, business development and other personnel on developing fee estimates.
To ensure that client and matter specific fee arrangements relating to the UK are tracked and correctly implemented.
Preparation of regular financial reports to UK and global requirements and deadlines.
Preparation and distribution of monthly practice area financial performance information to Group Practice Leaders.
Liaison, in conjunction with Head of Accounts and global accounting staff, with Group Practice Leaders to assist in interpretation of financial performance information, to highlight key issues arising from the results and to assist in preparation of business plans and forecasts.
Preparation and analysis of financial performance information regarding key client relationships, including briefing notes for global client team meetings.
Involvement in annual budgeting cycle assisting in modelling and preparation of practice group revenue budgets. Respond to requests for client / matter billing rate data.
Model impact and financial viability of proposed pricing scenarios for specific engagements. Track, report and analyse client and matter fee arrangements.
Coordinate negotiated client changes with billing partners, client contacts and accounting staff as appropriate.
Support the UK litigation practice in responding to new legal costs budgeting requirements. Other ad hoc projects and reporting as requested by London or Global Management.
Candidate Profile
You will be part or fully qualified ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent.
Experience of working within a partnership is essential, preferably a law firm.
