Our client is a dynamic and fast growing Midlands based law firm. It is the amalgamation of six Midlands based firms, four of which have been added in the last 18 months. It has 450 people working across seven offices. It remains extremely ambitious to grow even further in the next 24 months.
The firm is now seeking to appoint an HR Director. Reporting to the Chief Executive, this appointment will have partner status and form an integral part of the firm’s senior management team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out a full review of the way the organisation recruits, inducts, rewards, retains, and performance manages its people
• Making comprehensive recommendations on building a unique and dynamic “people” environment to clearly set the firm apart from its competitors
• Building an HR team that can fully and robustly support the business achieving its financial and “people” goals
• In conjunction with all leadership colleagues to maintaining a focus on competitive success - financially and culturally
• Being a senior ambassador for the firm internally and externally
Candidates for this role will probably be educated to degree standard and presently be working in a professional services environment - some experience in a law firm would also be preferable. They may have been number one in a similar sized firm or number two in a substantially larger firm. They will certainly have the experience and academic rigour to review the firm from a macro perspective.
On a personal level candidates must be inclusive, humorous and passionate about their ability to make a difference. They must also be robust and persuasive.
