A top 20 legal firm with a fantastic reputation is looking for a Group Finance Manager to join their team for a maternity cover contract.
This role will involve preparing the quarter consolidated non-statutory accounts for the banks which will include gathering the data to make central journals and adjustments, refreshing and investigating firm-level reconciliations and populating the summary accounts. You will be responsible for updating the World Firm balance sheet reconciliation file monthly then ensuring all balances are owned and responses are received from those owners on the validity of those balances. As the Group Finance Manager you will assist with the preparation of the year end consolidated statutory accounts of the firm and also the Partnership Financial Report. This will include reviewing submissions from the local offices, gathering data for central accounting journals, adjustments and eliminations, and working on various analysis schedules. You will be required to reconcile the retained profits account of the Central balance sheet each quarter, liaising with local offices as needed to resolve any differences as well as complete ad-hoc information requests and prepare presentations relating to the Firm's accounts from time to time.
To be a successful applicant you will be a qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) with experience of partnership accounting and IFRS group reporting in the professional services industry. You will have previously worked in a multi-location or global organisation, producing consolidated financial reports and accounts. You must have a high level of computer literacy including Excel, Word, and it would be advantageous to know Hyperion Enterprise, and Oracle Financials.
