A top International law firm is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join their Compliance team on a permanent basis. You will need 2 years previous conflicts experience within a Magic or Silver Circle Law firm.

As Conflicts Analyst your main responsibilities will involve analysing information in the firm’s conflict management systems and liaising with lawyers to identify any potential conflicts of interest relating to new matters and clients. You will be required to perform and organise training and mentoring sessions of the team on conflicts and commercial issues as well as assist in assessing new compliance systems in terms of effectiveness and development. Reporting to the Senior Compliance Lawyer, you will be asked to ensure all information is identified and collected to run an effective conflict search in accordance with the firm's policies and identify all relevant legal and commercial issues. You will be assisting with developing internal compliance and security policies, such as information barriers as well as liaising with partners and lawyers to assist with the development of internal processes to enable compliance with regulations and develop commercial policy. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering team presentations as directed by line management and will attend and conduct meeting with partners on conflicts issues.

To be a successful applicant for this Conflicts Analyst position you will have a law degree or UK/Overseas legal qualification and will have proven Conflicts, Compliance or Legal experience in a top 10 Law Firm. You must have experience in supervising and educating members of a law firm in Compliance procedures and will be familiar with Solicitors Code of Conduct requirements and other jurisdictions’ professional Codes of Conduct. You will have working knowledge and the ability to use Compliance Databases (e.g. BVD, Worldcheck, LegalKey, or similar). It would be beneficial if you can speak a foreign language fluently.
