Client development adviser

12-monh Client Development Adviser role in prestigious, global law firm – competitive salary, London-based

A leading law firm is seeking a Client Development Adviser to join its team on a 12-month contract. This role will be aligned to the firm’s Marketing and Business Development department and will be responsible for relationship management and business development support for several of the firm’s key clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a well-respected and established business development team and be working in a firm that will really boost their career. This role includes:


  • Key account planning;
  • Monitoring and analysing client developments and financial performance;
  • Identifying and developing value adds;
  • External client relationship development, including attending client meetings and planning for relationship meets with key client contacts.


The successful applicant will have previous experience in working in a Business and Client Development environment within a professional services organisation, ideally in a law firm. Having experience of and being comfortable in a partnership or equivalent professional services environment is required. As a candidate, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write compelling propositions. In addition to this, you will need effective project management skills, being able to priorities your workload efficiently. You must be a proactive team player who can also create a positive impact with colleagues, partners, peers and clients.  You will have the gravitas and confidence to liaise with senior level partners and clients.
