A top tier boutique Law Firm that deal with high net worth private clients are recruiting for a high calibre Finance Assistant to join their close-knit finance team. The Finance Assistant will demonstrate excellence and take pride in going the extra mile to complete every task. As a Finance Assistant you will have the opportunity to work within a role that provides a variety of responsibilities including Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Billing, and Cashiering. This leading law firm is based in a stunning corporate environment with benefits including study support and an annual bonus.

As the Finance Assistant some of your responsibilities include:

  • Printing and distributing 'Work in Progress' reports
  • Time transfers and adjustments
  • Reconciling Counsels' fee notes and posting to ledgers
  • Interacting with award winning lawyers from magic circle law firm
  • Drafting invoices
  • Creating and amending detailed time narratives to support invoices
  • Posting invoices to system
  • Raising credit notes
  • Credit control
  • Posting approved supplier invoices into Purchase Ledger system and making payment via online banking
  • Allocation of client related costs to client files
  • Checking department's cash statements and ensuring ledgers are cleared in a timely manner post completion
  • Assisting with month end procedures
  • General administrative tasks

To be successful in this Finance Assistant position, some of the requirements include:

  • Significant years of experience within a Legal setting
  • Prior experience within billing & credit control; this may be within a revenue controller position
  • Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail
  • Confident in liaising with highly influential individuals
  • Willingness to learn and can-do attitude
  • Outstanding Communication skills and good time management skills
  • Self-motivated and a team player
