We are looking to recruit an experienced Matter and Ledger Accounts Clerk on a full time basis in our Banbury office.

About the Role

The purpose of the role, working within a specialist team, is to improve the financial strength of the firm by performing regular tasks and processes to support the effective management of three key areas:

  • Work in Progress and Disbursement Management
  • Billing and Pro Formas
  • Collection and Credit Control, Money on Account

You will provide accounting and administrative support, and be informed and knowledgeable in the specific areas above. There are standard accounting processes and procedures to be followed in this role but you will be able to exercise some autonomy about how work tasks are performed, organising your own priorities and work flow to meet deadlines.

About you

You must be a team player as well as have an ability to work on tasks alone. It is desirable that you have experience of working in an accounts role in a legal firm or in a professional services firm. You must be flexible and able to organise your own workflows and meet deadlines. You must be proactive, calm and confident, and understand the importance of great customer service. You must be able to communicate well and be able to provide information or advice to a range of internal and external people. We are ideally looking for someone to work full time, but part time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) would be considered as well.
