Senior Business Analyst - Dual Agile and Waterfall model

A Senior Business Analyst position, providing leadership for the Business Analyst team of an international business advisory firm as they implement a new project delivery methodology.

The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst you'll provide leadership and mentoring to a team of 3 BAs.

You'll work particularly closely with the Head of Programmes on the implementation of a new project delivery methodology. They're introducing a bi-modal framework allowing for both Agile and Waterfall projects to run simultaneously, with the goal of driving innovation alongside longer programs of business change.

Your responsibilities will include:

Defining and leading the BA discipline within the Programme Team
Mentoring the BA team through the sharing of knowledge and best practice, encouraging individuals to critically challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to increase value
Working with users, developers, and other technical resources to define requirements and develop solutions
Reviewing processes and practices, seeking opportunities for improvements
Maintaining Business and IT relationships throughout the project delivery lifecycle to assess on-going project viability

You will be a highly adept communicator with a strong understanding of the whole business analysis and project life cycle

You'll have

Demonstrable evidence of gathering, analysing and documenting business processes
Experience of interpreting business requests and translating them to requirements
Experience of estimating principles and process
The ability to think from a strategic perspective but still consider the practical and commercial issues
Excellent stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills

People/Team Management:

The ability to lead and participate collaboratively in meetings and workshops Experience in the use of different leadership styles to positively influence others The ability to influence and persuade others outside of your direct control
