Senior Project Manager - Global Advisory Business

A Senior Project Manager role, providing leadership for the Project Management team of an international business advisory firm as they implement a new project delivery methodology.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager you'll provide leadership and mentoring to a team of 6 PMs.

You'll work particularly closely with the Head of Programmes on the implementation of a new project delivery methodology. They're introducing a bi-modal framework allowing for both Agile and Waterfall projects to run simultaneously, with the goal of driving innovation alongside longer programs of business change.

Your responsibilities will include:

Defining and leading the PM discipline within the Programme Team
Ensuring the successful delivery of concurrent Projects, following both rapid delivery Agile and traditional Waterfall methodologies
Mentoring the PM team through the sharing of knowledge and best practice, encouraging individuals to critically challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to add value
Working with the Business Analysis and Business Relationship Management Teams to assess opportunities to increase value and support business goals through technology
Enhance the management and reporting of Project Risk, Dependencies and Budget / Finance

You will be a highly adept communicator with a strong understanding of the whole project life cycle

You'll have

Demonstrable experience of delivering complex projects and change in support of business strategy
Exposure to team leadership and/or mentoring others in best practices concerning Project Management
Excellent Stakeholder Management and Conflict Resolution skills
* The ability to think from a strategic perspective whilst still considering the practical and commercial issues

People/Team Management:

The ability to lead and participate collaboratively in meetings and workshops
Experience in the use of different leadership styles to positively influence others
The ability to influence and persuade others outside of your direct control
