Well-established Legal 500 firm in Cardiff are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer.

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Officer to join a well-regarded Legal 500 practice in Cardiff. With between 2 and 5 years’ PQE or relevant experience in a compliance role you will ensure that the firm is operating in a legal and ethical manner whilst also meeting their business objectives. You will be undertaking various duties including: developing and implementing an effective legal compliance program; ensuring maintenance of all records and registers; creating sound internal controls and monitoring adherence to them; responding to day to day queries; communication with the SRA as required; educating and training employees and collaborating with other departments to create a culture of compliance. The Candidate

Applications are encouraged from qualified Compliance Officers with between two and five years’ PQE or have relevant experience in a compliance role. Candidates with significantly more experience from other fields would also be considered.

Must be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in risk management and legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML).

It is important that the successful Compliance Officer has a drive to succeed and provide excellent client service.

Strong commercial awareness and professional ethics are required.
