Company Secretarial Assistant

Job Term:
South West
Salary Description:
Burges Salmon
Job Ref:

Are you looking for an alternative career in the legal sector? Would you enjoy the responsibilities of fee earning combined with client relationship management opportunities? Does the prospect of providing specialist legal services to our impressive client base appeal to you? If all of the above is on your list for your next career move, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.

The role

We are recruiting for a Company Secretarial Assistant to join our Company Secretarial Unit. This is a permanent opportunity and is based in our central Bristol office, minutes' walk from Temple Meads station.

Much of your work is likely to come from the Corporate lawyers, however the service you provide is recognised as being essential to a wide range of clients across the firm so you can expect a diverse and interesting work load. There will also be an opportunity to broaden the role into other areas.

The role is complex and varied, so we understand that you may not have experience in everything listed on the job description (link below to the full document). You may be starting out in your career in this specialism; you may just be considering your options in the legal sector. Alternatively you could be experienced in this area and looking for a change. We are interested in speaking to anyone who is enthusiastic about this type of work and keen to hear more.

Essential attributes

Accuracy and commitment to quality are absolutely essential in this role. As a fee earner, the clients you are working for will expect you to consistently deliver an exceptional service. You will have a keen interest in compliance matters and be comfortable discussing this subject matter with both your lawyer colleagues and also external clients.

What we offer

Burges Salmon is committed to nurturing talent and professional development. You will be able to learn from lawyers who are leaders in their field and our unique collaborative culture ensures you are part of a team from day one. You will be respected for your specialist skills and recognised for your contribution to the firm.
