My client is an independent and globally recognised law firm based in London. They are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for the identification and delivery of the learning & development requirements across the firm. Reporting directly into the head of HR and Partner the key duties will include:

  • Oversee and manage a range of activities relating to fee earner learning & development requirements
  • Organising inductions for newly qualified solicitors
  • Coordinate technical training to Business Services and secretarial staff
  • Coordinate soft skills training firm wide
  • Organise and annual programme of wellbeing seminars
  • Formulate and deliver the training strategy for the firm
  • Managing an assistant and delegating work where appropriate

The Learning & Development will have a strong academic background with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will be an enthusiastic and motivated person who is down to earth and confident. Ideally the candidate will have previously worked as a lawyer or have solid experience of implementing and managing legal training programmes. They must be team focused and have a collaborative approach.
