Bid/Proposals Manager – strategic role working in the central bid function of a major global law firm, London, up to £65,000.

A Bid & Proposals Manager is being sought by one of the world’s largest law firms to join its growing business development function. Working in the London office you will work as part of a dedicated central bid team which works on the firm’s most important complex cross-border proposals and panel bids.  You will work closely with the wider business development function as well as an enthusiastic partnership. You will also enjoy working in a really friendly team which has become more sales and results focused in recent years.

Responsibilities will include:

  • ·         Leading on large complex panel bids from beginning to end to a wide variety of blue chip clients across several sectors, including financial services, oil & gas, construction/infrastructure and technology;
  • ·         Playing an advisory role to partners on bid strategy, challenging them and developing innovative approaches;
  • ·         Managing the bid process beginning to end including coaching partners and conducting dress rehearsals and taking bid feedback; and
  • ·         Developing and championing bid best practice and improving bid process.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in bid management, within professional services (ideally within the legal sector) and ideally with some international exposure. Excellent project management and communication skills are a necessity, in addition to the ability to influence and persuade partners.
