This West End based US law firm wish to hire an experienced payroll specialist to provide maternity cover for early 2017. The successful candidate will work alongside the HR division and provide payroll and benefits administration to support to 300+ members of staff whilst reporting into the Head of HR and the Chief Operating Officer. You will be required to take a lead role in the ongoing development and improvement of HR systems and payroll processes for the firm. This includes;

·         Managing the whole payroll cycle including but not limited to handling starters, leavers, sickness pay, salary changes, maternity pay, etc

·         Assist with implementation of new HR system, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data and the creation of meaningful reports

·         Handling P11Ds, P35s and other payroll related forms

·         Running the firm’s benefits scheme and policies

·         Produce management information statistics and ad hoc reports as required

·         Handle payroll queries from staff

·         Undertake and continue professional personal development by attending training events, seminars, workshops, etc. as appropriate.

·         Provide support to HR team accordingly

Candidates will possess a payroll qualification and have experience of working in a legal or accountancy practice handling a mid-large size payroll function. Candidates will also have experience with operating a HR system, ideally Select HR or HRIS, and report generation as well strong excel skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables etc). As you will be the ‘go to person’ for all payroll related matters for the firm, it is essential that you have excellent relationship management and diplomacy skills, as well as a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
