This client is a renowned international law firm, with offices in many locations including USA, Middle East, Far East and Europe. The London branch is ideally located for a number of stations, with beautiful offices, an on-site gym and subsidised staff restaurant.


They are now looking to hire a Revenue Manager to manage the work-in-progress for designated practice groups. This is a proactive role, supporting and working alongside, as well as managing the team.




Building effective relationships inside and outside of the firm to influence and improve the firm’s lock-up cycle


Ensuring that WIP reports are returned on a timely basis


Taking ownership of operational issues, finding practical solutions and escalating problems


Providing commercial and legislative advice as appropriate


Managing direct reports, ensuring that the team processes align with business needs


Providing constructive feedback to ensure that team members are motivated


Monitoring service levels provided by the team, in particular turn-around times and quality of service


Providing detailed input to the accurate valuation of WIP


Pro-active involvement in the firms audit


Undertaking monthly reviews of aged WIP balances


Liaising with the Cashiers team regarding the allocation of receipts


Authorising transactions on behalf of the finance department


Preparing key management reports


Issuing aged WIP, debt and draft bill reports to designated practice groups


Candidate Profile


Experience in a Law firm billing environment, supervising or managing a team


Able to demonstrate the application of best practice, together with a commercial approach with regards to billing, rates and time recording


Able to demonstrate experience of building successful relationships and influencing


Advanced Excel skills


Able to advise the business on GAAP, VAT legislation and SARs


Hands on individual who is pro-active and service orientated
