A well-established law firm with multiple offices in the South of England, our client provides services to businesses and individuals in areas including family, residential property, private client and company commercial. With a team of experienced lawyers committed to building strong relationships with their clients they ensure advice is provided in a personal and straightforward manner. Highly regarded in their local communities they have a growing and loyal client base.
We are now tasked with seeking a dynamic Office Manager on a full time basis in Dorchester. Responsible for the overall running of the office, the successful Office Manager will drive forward development, identifying issues and delivering effective solutions alongside line management of the offices support team. Duties will include but are not limited to: performance management of support staff; absence management; assisting with recruitment; maintaining the office budget and authorising monthly expenses; weekly office reporting to the Practice Manager and departmental heads and working on projects alongside Partners and HR. Additionally the successful Office Manager may be required to provide cover in a secretarial or receptionist capacity in busy periods, therefore previous experience working as a Legal Secretary of Receptionist would be highly advantageous but is not essential. You must be an Office Manager with solid experience gained within a similar role in the legal framework;
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels;
You must have previous management and/or supervisory experience;
You will be IT Literate with particular expertise in Microsoft Office Word and Outlook;
You will have your own workload and be able to work with minimal supervision;
You will be professional, personable and adaptable;
You will work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines;
You will be a pro-active team player with a keen eye for detail.
