Based in the heart of the City and in an extremely professional team, you will work alongside the Head of Communications and PR and Communications and PR Manager to deliver compelling communications support.
The Communications and PR Executive will liaise with other support functions to support any office or firm wide communications and will be responsible for preparing and editing news items for the firm's global intranet, sourcing and drafting stories for the monthly internal newsletter and day-to-day management of the firm's profiles on LinkedIn and Twitter, including identifying topical news stories to tweet and preparing announcements. Media relations will form an important part of this role to include compiling and maintaining media lists; collating and reporting media coverage; identifying commentary opportunities; and co-ordinating media interviews and preparing media briefing documents. You will also support the firm's approach to gaining recognition through relevant awards programmes, drafting, editing and proof-reading submissions and co-ordinating attendance at awards dinners
In order to be able to do this, you will be need have a strong academic background, allied to a few years communications and PR experience that will most likely have been gained in the legal or professional services sector. Unsurprisingly, outstanding communication skills both verbal and written are a pre-requisite for the role of Communications and PR Executive allied with the ability to manage multiple projects, to tight deadlines and deliver under pressure.
