A top international law firm based in London is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a great opportunity to join a busy team where you will be responsible for preparing the firm's statutory accounts.
This position will be predominantly helping the firm through their financial year end, and an important part of this role is to take a large amount of responsibility for the firms consolidated accounts, stretching over 30 entities.
As the Financial Accountant you will become part of the Financial accounting team and be also be required to:
Liaise with the group finance team and the accountants to understand the requirements of the consolidation process.
Deal with queries during and following the preparation of the LLP accounts.
Prepare the year-end adjustments for the international offices.
Prepare statutory accounts for small holding and service companies.
Liaise with the firm's Auditors and assist with the management of the audit process.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate being a good team player with great attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative under minimal supervision. Experience working in a law firm and experience preparing consolidated partnership accounts and producing published financial statements is essential. You will also need to be at an advanced level of Microsoft Excel and be confident communicating with management at all levels.
You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with minimum of 2 to 4 years' post qualified experience and educated to a degree level with GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above. Experience in large volume consolidated accounts is essential for this role, as well as strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
