Job Details
  • Support the achievement of the Firm's strategic pricing objectives
  • Deliver pricing support, reporting and analysis with a focused, co-ordinated and consistent approach
  • Produce pricing models for key client fee deals (panel and matters) and provide support throughout the pricing process

Key Responsibilities

Pricing
  • Manage, support and deliver financial aspects of the RFP process for client fee deals requiring global Pricing Committee approval
  • Produce bespoke pricing models to support Partners, General Managers, Commercial Director, Head of SPA, BD&M and Finance in relation to pricing and financial issues for Global Client fee deals.
  • Provide advice on pricing and be able to explain financials to colleagues at all levels throughout the Firm
  • Take responsibility for creating external client rate cards and internal rate cards, ensuring accurate mapping of rates and roles.  Ensure consistency of approach across all clients
  • Ensure relevant and accurate information is included on the Firm's Pricing intranet site, taking responsibility for updating and reviewing throughout the panel arrangement
  • Become the central point of contact for queries on the application of rates for Global Client fee deals – ensuring that where any additional clarity is required this is updated on the Firm's Pricing intranet site
  • Monitor client discount thresholds on Global Client fee deals and be responsible for communicating to Finance, BD&M and relationship teams
  • Calculate and monitor year end rebates for Global Client fee deals and ensure that balances being offset are correctly recorded to provide an accurate balance for reporting
  • Work with BD to develop and maintain a pipeline of client pricing agreements
  • Monitor expiry of existing Global Client fee deals and notify relationship Partners and BD
  • Work with the Head of SPA to ensure the application of the Firm's pricing strategy and processes, provide training on pricing and the use of Business Intelligence tools.
  • Responsible for data input and content for the monthly global Pricing Committee
  • Support the Commercial Pricing Specialist with pricing decisions and assist the Commercial Pricing Specialist to create financial models for pricing scenarios

  • Report to the Head of Strategic Pricing & Analysis and work closely with team colleagues to provide the support required and ensure that work levels for the team are allocated proportionately
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate should have:
  • Highly numerate individual - preferably a qualified/part qualified accountant with experience of working within a finance function
  • Advanced excel skills with an excellent attention to detail and with an inquisitive / analytical mindset
  • Experience of pricing modelling and of scenario analysis
  • Experience of creating and delivering client financial reports and performing financial analysis
  • Highly motivated self-starter and a good team player
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in a professional services organisation is preferable
