This position as a Communications Manager at a leading International legal firm will play a key role in supporting the global Alternative Legal Services ("ALT") offering, working closely with the ALT leadership team (globally) and involve a large amount of liaison with fellow Communications and Business Development colleagues, business services professionals and fee earners within the firm’s international network.
The role will involve developing and implement communications and marketing plans and collaborating with other communications managers to ensure alignment with wider firm strategy. You will devise and execute internal and external communications plans for ALT, conducting market research, creating high quality and compelling content for internal audiences , including CEO Reports; Regional Partner Meetings; staff updates; intranet stories, manage and update the global alternative legal services intranet space, including data rooms and co-ordinate internal practice group meetings or client visits. You will write and oversee the distribution of press releases; oversee/manage the publication of these releases on the firm's website, intranet and in relevant social media and monitor press stories. Working closely with the business development team, you’ll develop and maintain a suite of materials suitable for client pitches, proposals and tender submissions. In addition, you will devise an internal communications plan to promote take up of LPM (Legal Project Management and Service Delivery) within the firm.
You will have 5 + years of PR and internal communications experience in a corporate environment, in a law firm or professional services organisation, with strong editorial skills to deliver a broad range of communications channels. You will have up to date knowledge of communications tools and strategies, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. You will be self-motivated, goal orientated, creative and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision, with initiative and good business judgement. You will be a strong team player with proven ability to coordinate activities and influence actions across a team of resources not directly reporting in. You’ll be comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones, have a high level of attention to detail, but can also step back from the detail and see problems, opportunities and trends.
