My client is a leading law firm with offices globally, is looking to hire a Learning and Development Manager on a permanent basis.

The role will provide a high quality and coherent firm wide learning and development programme for fee earners and senior members of business services.

The key duties will include:

  • Understanding the firm's structure, culture, strategy and succession needs to ensure that all learning and development activities support these
  • Networking internally and externally to ensure the firm provides the most relevant and up to date programmes
  • Undertaking learning needs analysis, review effectiveness of training programmes and revise as necessary to ensure they satisfy the firm's needs
  • Being responsible for setting the L&D annual budget for UK and Europe under the Head of L&D (UK)
  • Liaising with the fee earning practice groups to ensure the effective delivery of tailored/customised training
  • Being responsible for any Qualified Lawyer Transfer Scheme applications from the fee earning groups
  • Assisting with the sourcing of external providers
  • Facilitating team building programmes for business services management teams

The Learning and Development Manager will be an experienced and confident L&D professional, having come from a professional services or partnership environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in design and delivery of training programmes, have excellent communication skills and be able to gain stakeholder credibility from day one. An MBTI Step 2 qualification is highly sought after.
