Leigh Day is seeking to hire experienced HR Generalist(s) within its Human Resources (HR) Team. The HR Generalist will be actively involved with the day-to-day recruitment activities and operations of the HR Team, providing an efficient, professional and responsive service to the Partnership. The role will be the first port of call for all HR queries and the post holder will be expected to provide appropriate advice and guidance. The role will also be involved in assisting with full cycle recruitment coordination across the various opening within the firm. S/he will provide general HR support to colleagues, raising HR queries, prepare the monthly payroll, manage the HR inbox and assist with the production of employment documentation and cyclical HR reports. S/he will be responsible for conducting the induction and the leavers’ process and supporting the HR Operations Manager, HR Manager and / or HR Director with adhoc projects.  The role involves building rapport and business relationships with key stakeholders.  

The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of demonstrable generalist experience within a law firm. They must be able to demonstrate good understanding of employment law and statutory legislation and its applicability whilst responding to day to day employee queries. S/he must have some demonstrable legal recruitment experience.  S/he must have some relevant experience of using HR databases and must be highly competent with MS Office, especially MS-Excel and producing cyclical HR reports. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly personable and confident to work with senior stakeholders. Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy is essential. This is a busy role and therefore you must be highly enthusiastic, proactive, organised and possess the ability to manage varied tasks within strict deadlines.
