The Team

The London Recruitment Team at Norton Rose Fulbright is a key part of the wider HR and Learning and Development team. The team covers three key areas; Partner recruitment, Graduate recruitment and Experienced Hire recruitment. The team currently consists of a Head of Recruitment, Recruitment Manager, and three Recruitment Advisors.

We are currently recruiting an additional Recruitment Advisor to join the Experienced Hire Recruitment team on a 14 month fixed term basis to focus on roles in the information technology and transformation space.


The Role

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager you will work closely with colleagues in the recruitment and HR teams to help provide a professional and efficient service for global change, transformation and business as usual recruitment requirements. You will manage the full life cycle of the recruitment process from being advised of a new vacancy through to managing the offer process and on boarding.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Working with the Global Head, IT Transformation, CIO and Programme Director to plan, recruit and on-board candidates
  • Responsibility for the end-to-end recruitment of a variety of IT, specialist change, strategy and transformation roles on a permanent, contract and temporary basis, including identifying, attracting, recruiting and hiring the desired talent for the role
  • Identifying the most appropriate sourcing channels to attract the best talent for the role; in particular developing direct sourcing channels and creative recruiting strategies
  • Developing job specifications
  • Creation of assessment tools and interview processes and procedures
  • Appropriately screening all candidates in the London geography and conducting competency based interviews, working with other global geographies to ensure a consistent approach
  • Negotiating recruitment agency terms to ensure they are aligned with current market rates and closely related to the necessary job criteria, where appropriate
  • Managing consultancy agreements and invoicing for day rate contractors in accordance to IR35 regulations 
  • Working closely with recruiters in other geographies to build a global view of all vacancies ensuring a consistent approach
  • Building an ongoing candidate pipeline using research, networking events and database information
  • Providing input to help develop, simplify and enhance the experienced hire recruitment processes
  • Assisting on ad hoc project work when required

 
Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience from either an agency environment or a similar in-house role; professional services experience desired but not essential
  • Prior experience of staffing major change/transformation programmes
  • Strong track record of recruiting IT professionals across the full gambit including business as usual, change, strategy and transformation professionals on a contract and permanent basis
  • Proven success developing direct sourcing channels (in particular LinkedIn) and creative recruiting strategies including referrals
  • Working knowledge of SAP (in particular FI) and finance processes
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to engage and gain credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage own work load and prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • Resilience with the confidence to deliver difficult messages
  • An excellent team player
  • Good IT literacy including MS office, Document Management System, CV Mail or other ATS and LinkedIn
