This leading global law firm are looking for a Head of Recruitment to cover a 9 month maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to experience a future-facing law firm and work with the dynamic and progressive Lateral Hire, Graduate Recruitment and Trainee Development Teams.

The Head of Recruitment will be a member of the Firm's senior HR team ensuring the highest standards of talent attraction and acquisition are achieved across both the lateral and graduate recruitment functions. The role will have strategic and management responsibilities for the entire Lateral and Graduate Recruitment & Trainee development teams across the UK. This will include line managing 3 direct reports and a wider team of 12 advisors/assistants.

Reporting to the Director of HR, the caretaker of this role for the purpose of a maternity cover will work to achieve the Firm's vision for talent acquisition and will have overall accountability for the services provided. There will be a clearly defined strategy in place, which you will be expected to deliver upon alongside your functional managers. This will include the responsibility for all aspects of recruitment and on-boarding for fee earners, business services staff and lateral partner hires at all levels. You will also have responsibility for overseeing and implementing the strategies that will attract all future trainees to the firm and managing the development of this upcoming population of employees through to qualification.

The firm are looking for a highly skilled and professional individual with experience of working in a law firm at managerial / head of level. To be successful in this role you will need to have experience in managing recruitment processes and teams, for both experienced hires and graduate recruitment. You will also have knowledge and experience of managing the employee lifecycle of trainees and their development needs up to the point qualification. This role will likely suit a Senior HR Manager / Head of HR from a medium sized firm who has experience overseeing these functions, rather than someone who only has legal recruitment experience.

This role requires a start date of no later than the beginning of July.
