Company Description

Burlington Media Group Ltd is B2B online media, magazine publishing and conferences/events business based in Mortlake SW14. The Burlington Media team is currently 16 strong and growing. We operate two legal business magazine/events media brands (Briefing and Legal Practice Management) and a client-focused brand (LegalSupportNetwork.co.uk) with online, networking events and jobs board (LSN.co.uk/jobs) platforms.

Reporting Lines

This role will report to the Director, client services and sales while working very closely with individuals across the business in client services and sales, and content and production teams.

Role Overview

Your role will be to plan, organise and deliver all our networking events under the Legal Support Network brand and assist in the delivery of conferences and micro-events under our Briefing and LPM brands.

Duties and requirements

Networking and other events

  • Running networking events (London 3 times a year, Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds twice a year, and possibly future locations)
  • Set up event registration pages on website (includes writing copy)
  • Team briefing meetings around themes, sponsorship, attendees etc. (coming up with original ideas for events)
  • Identify and book locations for events, liaise with venue managers, coordinating with all venues, (Venue contracts and deposits) booking, staffing, food, drink, equipment and requirements on the day
  • General event logistical arrangements i.e. booking courier, organising signage, event prep, ordering stationery if necessary, making and printing badges, making and printing signage etc.
  • Compiling reports and databases of likely interest on the law firm side
  • Drafting and circulating emails, telephoning people about the events
  • Manage online registrations and working to registration and attendee targets
  • Adding attendees to attendance lists on Salesforce
  • Compile and send out relevant information to all attendees whilst building professional relationships with them
  • Manage the event on the day, including setting up, external venue staff and internal LSN staff
  • Organising travel arrangements and accommodation for LSN team
  • Organising literature, hand-outs design and printing
  • Writing copy for email and digital marketing
  • Writing press releases after networking events
  • Co-ordinating relevant html emails in Salesforce database
  • Assisting in the planning, execution and delivery of our annual client focused event called the Legal supplier forum
  • Ad-hoc organisation and/or support for conferences, micro-events, roundtables and focus groups

Database management

  • Helping to build and manage target customer contact base
  • Pulling reports and exporting details using Salesforce
  • Locate and correct data entry errors
  • Data manipulation
  • Updating company and contact records

Basic salary £18,000 to £21,000 +benefits
