A bids and tenders team with a strong track record of winning new business is looking for an experienced Bids Manager. This is a Bristol-based role with a national remit, supporting the partners in developing compelling, benefits-led and tailored proposals, working for a progressive and forward-thinking leading legal firm.

This role entails predominantly managing public sector bids from central government departments to individual local authorities. You will work closely with the firm's partners to produce business-winning bids and tenders for prestigious public sector legal panels.

You will report to Senior Bids Manager and be supported by a Bids Manager and Bids Assistant.
As Bids Manager, you will be expected to deliver the following:
• Develop a deep knowledge of the public sector offering and what differentiates this firm.
• Public sector tender analysis informing management information and reporting from all opportunities.
• Interpreting requirements and advising bid teams on strategy/approach.
• Preparing teams for presentations and pitches to clients and writing compelling copy for proposals.
• Maintaining and updating a public sector library of precedent text for tenders.
• Project managing tenders from opportunity assessment stage through to drafting, submission, post submission feedback and reporting.
• Managing bid team input at all levels in the business.
• Managing the continuous development of systems and processes to assist tender production.
• Working with the firm’s pricing team to develop pricing strategy

You will have experience working within a professional services environment, with excellent organisational and project management skills. You'll have the ability to work to multiple deadlines and be confident interacting, working and communicating efficiently with a wide range of colleagues both verbally and in writing, and also possess excellent spelling and grammar, good attention to detail and strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks. An understanding of the regulatory environment would be advantageous.
