Purpose of the role

Responsible for the management of a Facilities team to deliver Client Hospitality, Reception services and the management of services and processes that support the Partners and employees of Thrings to fulfil their long and short term objectives as targeted by the business plan. The Office Facilities Manager ensures that the firm has the most suitable working environment for its Partners and employees and their business activities.

Responsibilities

A brief snapshot:

  • Ensuring that all external Clients have an excellent “First Impression” of the firm, with a warm, friendly and professional welcome, attentive service, high standards of Client Hospitality and meeting or exceeding Clients’ expectations.

  • Ensuring that all Facilities services and equipment are delivered efficiently and effectively to the Partners and employees

  • Ensuring that the office complies with Health & Safety regulations, in conjunction with consultants as appropriate

  • Managing and directing two Facilities Assistant's and 3rd Party suppliers and contractors as appropriate to meet the demands of the firm

  • Travel between all of the firm’s offices and to those of other parties (when required)

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  •  Diploma Standard education or equivalent Facilities Management qualifications
  • Up to 5 years Facilities Management experience, with demonstrable procurement, budgeting and people management skills

  • Proactive approach when it comes to problem solving, with excellent customer service skills

  • Strong leadership/management skills and able to evidence this

  • Experience in assisting and organising the logisitics for office relocations

Working hours are 37 hours a week. We are looking to conduct interviews week commencing 14th August, and this role may close early if we receive a large number of suitable applications.
