One of the leading global law firms has a vacancy for a Client Development Adviser to join a well-established global BD team, which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, marketing and client relationship management activities. The Client Development Adviser will be responsible for the day-to-day relationship management and business development support for a number of the firm's key clients with the objective of developing and strengthening those relationships. The Client Development Adviser may also work on wider BD initiatives across the firm, as required, including the rollout of Client Development Best Practice.

You will be responsible for Account Planning and developing an understanding of the client's business and strategy and are able to identify new business opportunities and monitor and analyse client developments, identifying opportunities for the provision of value added services. You will monitor and analyse financial performance and competitor activity ensuring that relevant information is disseminated quickly to relevant Client Team members. You will work closely with the Client Team to ensure that there is an effective client team structure and robust internal communication infrastructure in place to drive forward the client relationship, and act as a key point of contact for those involved in the client relationship on day-to-day queries in relation to matters such as engagement and panel terms as well as assistance in the production of management information required by the client.

You will be required to attend client meetings, plan for relationship meetings with key clients, and identify major firm-wide client hospitality events. You will work with the relevant fee earners and members of the BD team to consult on both formal and informal pitch opportunities including preparing teams for presentations and pitch meetings. You will be responsible for maintaining contact with fee earners on secondment to the client and co-ordinate secondment arrangements internally with the relevant teams.

You will have previous experience in working in a Business, and particularly, Client Development environment in a professional services organisation, preferably in a major law firm with an excellent understanding of Business Development and Marketing processes. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to write compelling propositions along with good project management skills show a keen interest in self-development and takes the initiative. You will be able to demonstrate consistent excellent service delivery to internal clients and be educated to graduate level and hold a good degree or equivalent from a reputable institution.
