Burlington Media Group Ltd is B2B online media, magazine publishing and conferences/events business based in Mortlake SW14. The Burlington Media team is currently 16 strong and growing. We operate two legal business magazine/events media brands (Briefing and Legal Practice Management) and a client-focused brand (LegalSupportNetwork.co.uk) with online, networking events and jobs board (LSN.co.uk/jobs) platforms.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about going the extra mile for our clients and prospects who will join our team on a permanent basis. Your contribution will have a direct impact on the growth of the business as you take responsibility for developing new business relationships whilst also upselling to existing clients across multiple product lines.

Reporting lines

This role will report to the Director, client services and sales while working very closely with individuals across the business in client services and sales, and content and production teams.

Role overview

This all-encompassing role will require a high level of organisation and planning skills, combined with a meticulous approach to working practices and an enthusiastic approach to your day to day activities.

Areas of exposure and responsibility include;

  • Sales/business development
  • Marketing (New business and target audience)

  • Administration
  • Networking and attending events.

Sales/business development

  • Responsibility for pro-actively researching and identifying news sales leads/prospects.
  • Converting leads/prospects into sales in-line with pre-determined monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
  • Accurately recording all sales related activity on the opportunity management system (Salesforce) to ensure all communications with target clients are visible to colleagues and team members.

  • Sales related activity will require high volume use of the telephone in addition to the usual methods of communicating i.e. email, social media platforms etc. 

Marketing - New business

  • Responsible for identifying the core market and organising and managing targeted marketing campaigns via mail, email, social media platforms, LSN website and other mediums to promote our range of products.

Marketing - Target audience

  • Responsible for identifying the target audience for using the broad spectrum of LSN products available and organising and managing innovative marketing campaigns and promotions to encourage engagement with LSN.

 Client management

  • Maintaining regular contact with all clients on phone, email and at meetings and social engagements.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell the product portfolio through those regular comms
  • Continually looking to explore new opportunities with existing clients to develop new opportunities and other income streams.

Miscellaneous

  • Input into marketing literature i.e. flyers, media packs and other marketing literature
  • Working closely with design agency on branding and literature compilation
  • Introducing new initiatives to legalsupportnetwork.co.uk 

Networking

  • Attending our own networking events and also other industry events to cultivate relationships and represent the company in a positive manner.

Areas of sales responsibility

networkpartner sales: This is a subscription service that is renewable annually. You’ll be required to source opportunities for new networkpartner accounts, receive and answer enquires from prospect networkpartners alongside other members of the team

Event sponsorship: We produce both conferences and regular networking events, both which require sponsors.

Web banners: Selling a range of online web banners to existing networkpartners and any new clients.

Objectives

A number of objectives will be allocated to this position. These objectives can be seen as benchmarks on which to assess achievements and also as guidance as to the focus of the role. These objectives will include, but not be restricted to;

  • Responsible for growing database i.e. supplier/vendor businesses and law firms, and relevant contacts within those firms.
  • Responsible for sourcing target clients and growing database with a view to new business development
  • Increase in number of networkpartners
  • Increase the revenues from existing networkpartners and other clients
  • Increase the yield/sponsorship of our networking events

Reward

Basic salary £18,000 to £23,000 + Commission + Benefits
