A leading global law firm requires a senior client development specialist to support the Director of Client Development, London and to work with the London-based Finance, High Yield and Real Estate partners to identify their key clients, build innovative client teams and deliver against their industry and client business development objectives.

The role holder will work with the partners to develop business and client development plans and budgets for relevant target clients in London and manage the implementation of these plans and budgets, regularly monitoring and reporting on progress. The role is broad in nature, with the role holder assuming responsibility for the delivery of meaningful client, market and competitor analysis, providing advice on new business opportunities and working with partners on the development and implementation of client and product targeting initiatives. The Client Development Manger will encourage full and effective use of the firm’s CRM database, track and manage all relevant client and business development activity and manage and provide input on firm wide client pitches, promoting pitching best practice and creating supporting pitching and credentials materials including presentations, brochures and capability statements. You will also work across the firm with client relationship partners of the firm's global client teams as a client account manager for one or more of the firm’s key clients, developing and supporting the implementation of annual client team plans and budgets and ensuring best practices are adopted across the client teams. Profile raising will form an important component of the role, with the successful candidate being tasked with the creation and implementation of integrated campaigns to help raise awareness amongst the firm's key target audiences. You will be responsible for managing the implementation of targeted events, sponsorships, training programmes and roundtables; co-ordinating submissions to directories and awards panels; and internal communications and knowledge sharing.

The ideal candidate will be a university graduate with a strong academic record from a reputable institution and extensive experience in a large law firm or similar environment, to include significant business or client development experience and experience in the corporate, private equity or asset management industries. In addition the Client Development Manager will be a commercially minded and energetic team player, possessing excellent communication and business writing skills and a strong ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines.
