One of the world’s most prestigious and well-regarded law Firms has a new opening for a truly commercial finance analyst to join the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified and ambitious individual who wishes to be part of a progressive, customer-centric team which works closely with the business to provide proactive financial support.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the mechanics of the role are as follows:

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of high quality financial presentations to the business (practice, sector and key client specific) and providing analysis and recommendations as and when required.
  • Compiling financial data to support complex business requests including, but not limited to, partner and fee earner appraisals, client and matter profitability, trend reporting.
  • Providing assistance with the annual budget process and quarterly reforecast exercises.
  • Managing the production of routine deliverables required by the Finance Business Partner team ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Supporting the team in delivering key client and sector reviews, pricing, the annual rate review process, and general financial modelling support.
  • Assisting in the delivery of the financial education agenda by supporting training initiatives to newly promoted partners / laterals / promotion candidates / new firm joiners. Helping to maintain training materials on behalf of the Department.
  • Working with the Finance Leadership Team and outsourced partners to ensure systems and models remain accurate, relevant and fit for purpose.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a financial analyst in a commercial environment. Blue chip experience would also be favourable.
  • Recently qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Undergraduate degree - 2:1 or above with a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to analyse large data sets and deliver qualitative and quantitative information and findings in a concise and useful manner in order to support key stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
