Talented Compliance Manager sought for an outstanding firm in Hertfordshire.

This is a rare opportunity for Compliance Manager to join a leading practice in St Albans. The successful candidate will provide assistance and guidance to the risk group and the wider firm in connection with the firm’s management of overall risk.

Responsibilities
• Support and guidance on policies and procedures
• Analysing and reporting on the firm’s risk assessment data
• Lexcel audits
• Annual WIQS and CQS reaccreditation
• Assisting with the COLP with PII and the practising certificate renewal process
• Maintaining GDPR and COLP records
• Money laundering, tax evasion and office of financial sanctions matters
• Process management
• Reporting any data breaches to the project group
• Logging Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
• Ensuring that all new suppliers and contracts are GDPR compliant
• Induction and training

The Candidate
• Office managers with a minimum of five years’ experience in compliance or risk management
• Solicitors with a minimum of five years’ PQE in litigation, regulatory, PSL, in-house or commercial arena wishing to make a move into a compliance and risk management role
• Good understanding of the SRA code of conduct and general compliance issues
• Familiarity with Lexcel requirements
• Outstanding IT skills
• Experience of policy drafting, implementation and training
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
